If you’ve spent any time at the velodrome, or at the start of a time trial, you’ve most likely heard the term “crack-pipe” at one point or another, which usually gets an odd look from the uninitiated. And, while there could be a “doping” reference in there somewhere, what the riders are referring to is the adapter used to inflate a disc wheel with a floor pump.

The Silca version is a lightweight aluminum adapter that features threads at the pump end to secure it to the head of your floor or hand pump. The 90-degree turn fits inside the shallow cut-out around the valve on the wheel to allow you to easily pump your disc to full, race-ready pressure. It is lightweight and fits in your saddle bag so you’ll always have it at-the-ready.
